Yedi Kule Thessaloniki - Γεντί Κουλέ, Θεσσαλονίκη
Yedi Kule ( “Prison” in Turkish) or otherwise known as Eptapyrgio (“Seven Towers” in Greek), was built during the Byzantine period, but since 1890 was used as a prison. Today is one of the most famous monuments of the city of Thessaloniki.. The visitors are charmed by the panoramic view of Thessaloniki below their feet. Nowadays, you will find in the region many taverns and quaint café.
Το Γεντί Κουλέ ή αλλιώς Επταπύργιο, χτίστηκε κατά τη βυζαντινή περίοδο ενώ από το 1890 και έπειτα λειτουργούσε ως φυλακή. Σήμερα αποτελεί ένα από τα πιο γνωστά μνημεία της πόλης της Θεσσαλονίκης. Ο επισκέπτης που φτάνει ως το Γεντί Κουλέ μαγεύεται από τη θέα της Θεσσαλονίκης. Στην περιοχή σήμερα θα βρείτε πολλές ταβέρνες και γραφικά café.
