Georgia Sinodinos Pistolis
Georgia Sinodinos Pistolis is a self taught artist and has been drawing as long as she can remember. Georgia, was born in Sparta, Greece, and moved to America at the age of ten with her family. While she didn’t speak English her first year of attending school, she found that there was no language barrier in art and indulged herself 100% at something she loved. She won art contests during her school years and some of her art won national scholastic art awards.
Georgia took commercial graphic art but did not pursue a career in the arts. Art was put on hold because raising her two daughters became her priority…. but a sketch book was always near and part of her.
Many years passed, before Georgia decided to take her passion of art to another level. She was especially drawn to watercolor but first had to rid the fear of painting over her “detailed” sketches. That proved to be the hardest part of becoming a painter but she got over it fast.
Watercolor painting is her first love now. Most off her work is themed around beautiful Greek landscapes and still life, which always depict her own nostalgic memories from the beautiful villages and countryside. She visits Greece every summer with her family and wishes she could paint every little corner and imagery of Greece‘s beauty.
Georgia now has own studio where her work is displayed while she paints on site as well. She also loves doing murals and has done several Greek scenes at restaurants to invoke atmosphere.

Η Γεωργία ζωγραφίζει από τότε που θυμάται τον εαυτό της. Γεννήθηκε στη Σπάρτη και μετακόμισε στην Αμερική μαζί με την οικογένεια της στην ηλικία των δέκα ετών. Τον πρώτο της χρόνο εκεί δυσκολευόταν να μιλήσει στην αγγλική γλώσσα κι αντιλήφτηκε ότι μπορούσε να εκφραστεί ευκολότερα με τη γλώσσα της ζωγραφικής. Κάποια από τα έργα μάλιστα της σχολικής ηλικίας της, έχουν βραβευτεί . Παρόλα αυτά η Γεωργία για κάποια χρόνια ασχολήθηκε με την οικογένεια της και την ανατροφή των παιδιών της, αφήνοντας πίσω τις προσωπικές της φιλοδοξίες για μια καριέρα στη ζωγραφική. Πέρασαν αρκετά χρόνια ώσπου η Γεωργία να αποφασίσει να ασχοληθεί και πάλι με το παλιό της πάθος. Σήμερα ασχολείται πλέον επαγγελματικά με τη ζωγραφική, και έχει το δικό της στούντιο. Πολλά από τα θέματα της είναι εμπνευσμένα από την Ελλάδα και τα τοπία της. Επισκέπτεται την Ελλάδα κάθε καλοκαίρι, μαζί με την οικογένεια της και εύχεται να μπορούσε να ζωγραφίσει κάθε γωνιά και κάθε εικόνα της ελληνικής ομορφιάς!
