Photo Tip

sandiskcards_400x400.jpgMemory cards are getting bigger and bigger. If you shoot in JPEG you can shoot thousands of photos till your card is full.

There are however good reasons to not buy huge cards of 8 Gigabyte or bigger, and download and backup your photos, even when you have plenty of space left.
After all, you do not want to loose a memory card with lots of good memories on it. Although memory cards do not break down easily, filling up your card to the last bite is an almost sure recipe for card failures. With little space left, a final photo can be just too large, thus blocking or corrupting your entire card.
You can prevent loosing your photos by making a good habit of downloading your photos every day. But what if you’re on holiday? You could bring your notebook along. Too big? A portable disk drive with a built-in card reader or visiting the local Internet shop, are good alternatives.

Greece is beautiful in spring. Flowers spread like a sea along the road, in the fields, below the olive trees and between ancient excavations. Moreover, spring is the season during which Greeks celebrate their most important Orthodox feast: Easter.

Programme

antonharfst-easter20090417_1376_400x600.jpg The workshop takes place during Greek Easter. Church services, late-evening processions and celebrations of the breaking of the fast are special occasions, both to experience and to photograph. It will be photography from morning till evening. In between  shoots, photos are viewed and discussed together and in a constructive manner. On Easter Sunday, we roast a lamb on the spit for a joint Easter Supper. Those who love Greek food and cooking are welcome to help in preparing the lamb and the (vegetable) side dishes. More information >>

Book now and you pay €629 for the workshop, including stay, meals, entrance to Mystras and local transport.

Workshop for singles who like to shoot with other photographers, regardless of their level of experience. Discover a different  Greece: together with your camera and in good company of other singles!
