ANASTASIA MORAITOU
She was born and lives in Thessaloniki Greece. She has been painting ever since she can remember herself. At the early age of 13 she took part in a joing exhibition ana was awarded 1st prize. While still in high school she had “stage design” lessons at the Malamas Theater school.
Later on, she worked with the painter Sarafianos in Athens while at the same time she studied costume and fashion design at Veloudakis School, where afterwards , she also taught design until her admission to the School of Fine Arts.
During the dictatorship years she was in London and studied at the Ealing Polytechnic College. It was there that she had her first individual painting exhibition which was great success. On returning to Greece she was professionally engaged in textile design.
In 1985 after a serious accident she had had, her activity was interrupted for a whole 5 years.
Ever since then she has had over 15 individual exhibitions of her art creations, each one diverse in subject and content and always original in terms of form and matter.
Pieces of her work are held in personal collections in Greece and abroad specifically in London and New York.
For her support in the work done for cancer suffering children she was given an honorary award by “Elipida Association of Friends of children with Cancer on it’s 10th foundation anniversary in 2003.
Anastasia Moraitou is a highly estimated and renowned artist whose name is closely connected with optimism insofar as she proves in a long journey of her life her firm belief in regeneration and never ending hope.

ΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΙΑ ΜΩΡΑΙΤΟΥ
Γεννήθηκε και ζει στη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Σε ηλικία 13 ετών πήρε μέρος σε ομαδική έκθεση και απέσπασε το Α΄βραβείο.
Συγχρόνως με τις σπουδές του λυκείου, ξεκινάει μαθήματα σκηνογραφίας στη Σχολή Θεάτρου του Χριστοφόρου Μαλαμα. Τελειώνοντας το σχολείο εγκαταστάθηκε στην Αθήνα όπου και μαθήτευσε δίπλα στο ζωγράφο Σαραφιανό. Παράλληλα σπουδάζει ενδυματολογία και σχέδιο μόδας στη Σχολή Βελουδάκη και στη συνέχει διδάσκει σχέδιο στην ίδια σχολή μέχρι την εισαγωγή της στην Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών.
Κατά τη διάρκεια των περαιτέρω σπουδών της στο Λονδίνο στο “ Ealing Polytechnic College of London”, κάνει τη πρώτη ατομική της έκθεση με μεγάλη επιτυχία.
Με την επάνοδό της στην Ελλάδα, ασχολήθηκε επαγγελματικά με το σχέδιο υφάσματος. Το 1985 και έπειτα από ένα σοβαρό ατύχημα η δραστηριότητά της διεκόπει για αρκετά χρόνια. Από κεί και μετά ακολουθούν πλέον των 15 ατομικών εκθέσεων διαφορετικών μεταξύ τους σχετικά με τη θεματολογία και πάντα πρωτότυπες όσον αφορά στις φόρμες και τα υλικά.
Έργα της φιλοξενούνται σε ατομικές συλλογές της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού και συγκεκριμένα στη Νέα Υόρκη και το Λονδίνο.
Για την έμπρακτη στήριξή της στο έργο του συλλόγου Φίλων Παιδιών με καρκίνο «ΕΛΠΙΔΑ» Της απονεμήθηκε τιμητική πλακέτα κατά τη συμπλήρωση των 10 χρόνων .
